Mirador dels Xiprers is a peaceful viewpoint tucked into the southern edge of the Collserola hills, beneath Sant Pere Màrtir. From the bench at its edge you look out over the whole Barcelona plain, the Mediterranean and the Llobregat delta, framed by cypress trees that give the spot its name. It sits right on the Carretera de les Aigües — the flat, unpaved path that runs along the ridge and is a local favourite for walking, running and cycling — so reaching it is an easy stroll rather than a climb. It's well off the tourist trail, busiest with joggers and families at weekends, and is one of the city's best low-key sunset spots, since the view faces west over the lights of Barcelona. There's no playground or kiosk here; it's a place to walk, sit and take in the horizon, with a drinking fountain back along the path and room for kids to roam.
