What you need to know
- This Saturday with a small kid, pick a morning stop. The gentle ones are the birthday hot chocolate for the little giant Blauet (10am, Plaça del Consell de la Vila) and the open doors at the Tren de l'Oreneta mini train (10:30am to 1:30pm, up in Parc de l'Oreneta). The 5pm cercavila is the loud, crowded one, with drums and packed streets.
- Sunday is giants day. The 32nd giants gathering runs 10am to 2pm at Plaça del Consell de la Vila: candles for Blauet's 25th birthday first, then giants from Sarrià and visiting groups parade through the streets.
- The one fire run is Saturday, October 10. The show starts at 8:30pm and the correfoc sets off at 9:15pm. There is no kids' fire run this year, but there is a daytime fire workshop for kids that morning.
- The funfair stays until October 18. Rides set up at Porta de Sarrià (Via Augusta at Passeig de la Bonanova) and at Plaça de Cirici Pellicer, by the Caputxins church. Free to walk in, pay per ride.
About
Festa Major de Sarrià honors the Virgin of the Rosary with decorated façades, giants parades, human towers, and sardanes. The program includes the Correfoc, a pyrotechnic spectacle where devils parade through streets with fire effects, alongside traditional Catalan performances and street activities rooted in neighborhood traditions.

- 10am–11amBirthday hot chocolate for the giant BlauetThe little giant Blauet turns 25, with candles and hot chocolate for everyone. A gentle pick for small kids.
- 10am–12pmFollets de Collserola family walkKids follow the forest elves through the streets with songs and games, from the church square down to Plaça de Sant Vicenç.
- 10am–2pmSembrant Futur planting craftFamilies make a small garden plate and a miniature house with plants from the vegetable garden.
- 10:30am–1:30pmOpen doors at the Tren de l'Oreneta mini trainRide the miniature train and see a display of model locomotives. A gentle pick for small kids, up the hill away from the crowds.
- 11am–1:30pmEspai Aigua water gamesFive hands-on games about the water cycle, for ages 3 to 12.
- 11:30am–12:30pmGiants' parade to Reina Elisenda stationThe railway giants Trenot and Catenària walk with Blauet to the FGC station for its 50th birthday, then dance outside it.

- 7pm–8pmCastells workshopThe Castellers de Sarrià show kids and parents how a human tower is built, and let them try.
- 8pm–10pmNight parade for Blauet's 25thBlauet walks down through the streets after dark with music, a rare night outing for a giant. It ends with a toast outside the Els Blaus hiking club.
