What's the correfoc like with kids?

There are two. The kids' correfoc on Sunday September 6 starts at 8:45pm at Plaça d'Eivissa with the Banyetes d'Horta dragons and ends at Plaça de Santes Creus around 10pm. The Gran Correfoc on Saturday September 12 runs 8:45pm to 11:15pm with guest groups and beasts, so it is louder and later. Long sleeves, closed shoes and a hat are the usual advice for both.

Is there anywhere to park, or should we take the metro?

Take the metro: L5 to Horta puts you a few minutes' walk from Plaça d'Eivissa, and many streets on the parade and correfoc routes close during the festival.

What are the kids' activities like?

The 2026 program includes a kids' hot-chocolate breakfast and a La Clika concert (Sunday 6), children's cinema at Lluïsos d'Horta (Monday 7), Festa Kapla with wooden building blocks (Tuesday 8), a kids' magic show and a big kids' party at Lluïsos d'Horta (Saturday 12), plus the kids' correfoc.

Do we need to stay the whole time or can we just drop by for an hour?

Drop by. Everything runs at set times across the ten days, and almost all of it is free, so pick one afternoon or evening that works for you.

Festa Major d'Horta runs for ten days in early September around Sant Gaudenci, a feast the town of Horta vowed in 1731. The program mixes street parades, concerts, a big correfoc, a diada castellera and closing fireworks with a full kids' strand: a hot-chocolate breakfast, a children's concert, a kids' correfoc, Kapla building blocks, children's cinema and a kids' magic show.
