Is this just a talk, or is there something interactive for kids to do?

It's a talk where Pablo shares his story and answers questions. CosmoCaixa has exhibits you can explore before or after, so you could make a morning of it, but the event itself is him speaking to the audience. Kids who like space and aren't easily bored by listening will get a lot out of it.

My kid loves space but is only 7. Should we wait?

The recommendation is 8 and up, which mostly reflects the talk format. If your kid can sit through a 30-minute documentary about space, they'll likely be fine; if they need constant hands-on action, spend the morning in the museum halls instead and skip the auditorium.
