The park is closed, the train is running. Parc del Castell de l'Oreneta is shut under the Collserola African swine fever measures, with no reopening date. The miniature train is still open, reached only from Passatge de la Blada, per trenoreneta.com.
What you need to know
- Miniature railway runs Sundays and holidays, roughly 10:30–13:30, €3 a ride (cash, under-2s free), the highlight for kids
- Wooden playgrounds with zip wires and shaded picnic spots dotted through the forest
- Hilly and partly unpaved, so bring a baby carrier rather than a stroller, plus water and snacks
About
A wild, wooded 17-hectare park in the Collserola foothills above Sarrià, far quieter than the city-center green spaces. The big draw for kids is the miniature railway, run by volunteers, looping 635 meters past its own little station, through tunnels, over bridges and a viaduct. There are also the ruins of an old castle and sweeping views to the sea.
