Mini-train Playground (Castell de l'Oreneta)

• Mini-train on Sunday mornings, 10:30 to 13:30, closed in August and in bad weather
• €3 per ride, cash only and bought at the little station on the day, under 2s free
• Uphill walk through the woods to reach the playgrounds and train, so wear comfortable shoes
• Trains are still running despite temporary park closures

A 17-hectare hilltop forest park whose star for kids is the Tren de l'Oreneta, a working miniature railway run by volunteers since the early 1980s. Children ride real scale-model trains, often steam-hauled, along a 636-meter track that winds through tunnels and over bridges on a ten-minute loop. The train runs Sunday mornings, weather permitting, with several playgrounds along the wooded paths.
