How long does a visit take?

Most families spend around an hour on the exhibition. Add 60 to 90 minutes if you book a workshop.

Do the workshops need booking ahead?

Yes. Workshops sell out, especially on weekends and holidays, so reserve online before you arrive. Museum entry is included in the workshop price.

Is there food on site?

There is a tasting cafe serving hot chocolate, chocolate specialities, and pastries, plus a shop selling bean-to-bar chocolate made on site.

Does the museum host birthday parties?

Yes, for kids 4 to 12. The two-hour party starts with a guided tour, moves to a private chocolate workshop, and ends with a snack and candles. It costs €25 per child with a minimum of 15, runs Saturdays 4pm to 6pm or Sundays 12pm to 2pm, needs two adults along, and must be booked at least a month ahead.

About

Set in the 14th-century former Convent de Sant Agustí, the collection is built around sculptures made entirely of chocolate: the Sagrada Família, Sant Jordi and the dragon, and cartoon characters that change through the year. Panels trace cocoa from bean to bar, and the cafe and obrador run hands-on workshops and tastings.
