What you need to know

  • Small play area with a few swings and climbers, fine for a quick stop but not a destination playground
  • Sunday vermut at noon is the busiest, best moment, when the dozen terraces fill with local families
  • Car-free and paved, so toddlers can run while you sit at a terrace, with metro at Plaça de Sants two minutes away

About

A car-free, tree-shaded square ringed by around a dozen bar and café terraces (Fo Bar, La Mestressa, Vermut i a la Gàbia). It was the commercial heart of Sants until the covered market opened in 1913, and it keeps a village feel. The play area is small, so the real draw is the open, paved space where families spread out, busiest on Sunday around noon for vermut.
