What you need to know

  • Standing-only cabins hold 19 people, with a crossing of about 10 minutes each way
  • Only two cabins, so arrive near opening on weekends, holidays and summer afternoons to skip long queues
  • Stroller access only from the San Sebastián tower in Barceloneta; the Miramar end has stairs

About

A pair of red cabins that glide 70 meters above the old harbor between the Barceloneta tower and Montjuïc, running since the 1929 International Exposition. The ten-minute crossing gives some of the best aerial views over the marina, the beaches and the sea. Cabins are standing-room only and hold 19, and with just two of them queues build quickly at weekends.
