Do I need to book in advance?

No. There is no ticket or advance booking, so you can show up during opening hours.

Is it good for toddlers?

Yes. The "Niu de ciència" (Science Nest) is a space set aside for kids 0 to 6 to explore materials freely. Older kids get escape rooms, workshops and hands-on experiments suited to their level.

Can we do it in a couple of hours?

Yes. With over 180 activities across 30 spaces you could fill a full day, but 2 to 3 hours on the few that interest your kids most works well.

The 19th Science Festival fills El Born with more than 180 games, experiments, workshops, shows and exhibitions, all built to make science and technology easy to grasp. Kids can explore two Barcelona Museum of Natural Sciences buildings and the Citadel of Knowledge, the city's new research and innovation hub. Topics run from neuroscience to architecture, so curious kids of any age can find something to try.
