Every last Sunday in April, the small town of Sant Cebrià de Vallalta celebrates its prized local strawberry with a full-day outdoor fair. This year marks the 25th anniversary, and they're going big: hot air balloon rides in the morning (first come, first served), an appearance by legendary Catalan chef Carme Ruscalleda, and the traditional giant strawberry cake from Ca l'Andreu. Kids can buy strawberries straight from local producers, enter a dessert competition, try craft workshops, and play giant outdoor games scattered around the town. There's a market of local artisan food and handmade goods, live music, a circus workshop, and face painting.
