What you need to know
- SésamoAventura zone has gentle rides, a splash area, and Sesame Street characters for under-7s who aren't ready for the big coasters
- Getting there is about an hour by car, or take the train to PortAventura station, which sits at the park entrance
- Caribe Aquatic Park is separate, with its own ticket and its own opening calendar, so check both before you go
About
A theme park in Salou, about an hour south by car or train, split into six themed worlds: Mediterrània, Far West, México, China, Polynesia, and SésamoAventura for younger kids. Rides range from the Tami-Tami kiddie coaster and the Sesame Street zone to the big drops on Dragon Khan and Shambhala. The neighboring Caribe Aquatic Park, with slides and a wave pool, needs a separate ticket.

Seasonal theme park. Open daily from around mid-March (Easter) to early January, then closed from mid-January to mid-March. Gates open at 10:30; these later closing times (to about 22:30, occasionally midnight) apply in peak summer (roughly late June to early September), while spring and autumn days close earlier, around 18:30–19:00. Caribe Aquatic Park runs its own shorter, summer-only calendar. Always check the official calendar for the exact day you plan to visit.
