How do we get to Turó Park?

The closest stops are Plaça Francesc Macià (trams T1-T3, lots of buses) or FGC Muntaner (L6), both about a 5-10 minute walk. Street parking around the park is tight on weekends, so public transport is easier.

How early should we arrive?

It's free, outdoors and on a Saturday in July, so it will fill up. Aim to be there 20-30 minutes early to grab a spot on the grass. Bring a blanket or cushion, since you'll be sitting outside for the show.

Is this for babies and toddlers?

Yes. Teloncillo specifically designs this show for ages 6 months to 5 years. Babies usually sit close in around the stage; older toddlers can sit with parents on the grass.

What you need to know

Visual storytelling with props, threads and live music carries the show even for kids who don't follow the Spanish lyrics.
Park setting means you can arrive early, let kids run around the playground, then sit down for the 35-minute show.
Designed for the very small (from 6 months), so it's one of the rare evening shows that works for toddlers.

About

Teloncillo Teatro, a children's theater company from Valladolid and winner of the 2013 National Performing Arts Award for Children, brings "Coser y cantar." The musical show is a tribute to the "weaving women" in a family (grandmothers, mothers and aunts), told through threads, fabrics, buttons, songs and live guitar. The props and music carry the story, so babies and toddlers can follow along before they understand the Spanish.
