Just plan to leave before the demons dance starts at 8:30 PM if your kid gets overwhelmed by noise and crowds.

Plaça de Sant Jaume is the main gathering point at 6:30 PM, but it fills up fast and gets packed. Plaça del Rei (where they dance at 7:45 PM) is smaller and less mobbed, so if you can get there by 7:30 PM you'll have a better view and more breathing room. The side streets like Carrer de Santa Llúcia are quieter but you'll only catch them passing through, not the full dance.
