Location: Auditori de Girona i Parc de la Devesa

Question 1

How do we get to Girona from Barcelona?

Accepted Answer

It's about 100km north, roughly 1.5 hours by car or train. The train is easy: take Renfe from Sants or Passeig de Gràcia, arrive in Girona city center, then it's a short walk or taxi to Parc de la Devesa. Driving works too if you don't mind parking, though confirm parking availability at the venue before you go. Either way, it's doable as a day trip if you're willing to leave early.

Question 2

Which ages work best for this festival?

Accepted Answer

The lineup skews toward kids aged 4-12, especially with Els Atrapasomnis and Núvols amb nadons for the youngest. Teenagers might enjoy The Tyets or Miki Núñez if they're into Catalan pop. Under 3s can come, but with multiple stages and a two-day format, you'll need patience and a plan. If your kid isn't into live music or sitting still, this might feel long.

Question 3

How long should we plan to spend there?

Accepted Answer

Most families do 3-5 hours per day, catching 2-3 concerts and exploring the activity spaces. The full festival runs both days, but you don't need to stay for everything. Pick your must-see artists, arrive an hour early to find your spot, and leave when the kids are done. It's drop-in format, so you set the pace.

Question 4

Can we eat there, or should we bring food?

Accepted Answer

The festival has food trucks on site, which is convenient but can get pricey and crowded. Bring snacks and water for sure, especially if you're staying several hours. The Parc de la Devesa is picnic-friendly, so packing a lunch is a solid option if you want to save money and avoid lines.

Question 5

Are there bathrooms?

Accepted Answer

Yes, there are bathrooms at the Auditori and in the park, but with a festival crowd they can get messy and have lines. Bring hand sanitizer and wipes. If your kid is still in pull-ups or needs frequent bathroom breaks, scout the locations early so you know where to run.

Question 6

Should we buy tickets in advance, or can we just show up?

Accepted Answer

Tickets are 15 euros per person, or from 4 euros if you have a subscription. Buy them online at festivalot.koobin.com; buying ahead is safer if you're traveling from Barcelona. Individual concerts also have separate ticket options if you only want to catch one or two acts.
