The whole event runs 10am to 1pm, so three hours total. If your kids are into the workshops and exhibitions, you could easily fill all three hours. If you just want to catch the theater bit at 11:30 and the turtle release at 12:30, you could do it in 90 minutes, but arriving early gives you time to grab a wristband without stress.

What's the parking situation at Pineda beach?

Pineda beach has a car park, but on a Sunday morning in May with a free public event, it'll probably fill up fast. Your safest bet is arriving by 9:45am or taking the train from Barcelona, which is about 30 minutes from Plaça de Catalunya to Castelldefels station, then a short walk to the beach.

What if my 4-year-old wants to come but isn't in the 6-12 age group?

Younger kids are absolutely welcome at the event and can do all the workshops and see the theater performance. They just won't get a wristband for the semicircle during the release, so they'll watch from the outer area instead. Honestly, the whole thing is pretty visual and exciting, so most little ones are fine with that setup.
